Caspian Tattoo Lynchburg VA Charlottesville VA, and Central Virginia.

My name is Ryan Whitson and I am a tattoo artist at Caspian Tattoo Charlottesville. I started drawing at a young age because my father is a painter, pastel artist, and he made his living as a graphic artist. I was always known as the kid who sat around drawing comic book characters all day in school. Something about the dynamic nature of comic drawing always caught my attention, and I'm just a closet nerd. My tattooing career started with Caspian Tattoo in Lynchburg. I apprenticed under Aaron Moodie who is now the owner of Infinity Tattoo. After working with Aaron I went to Richmond and started work for Billy Eason of Capital Tattoo. While working for Billy, I was able to travel the country and tattoo at numerous tattoo conventions.  I ended up managing the Charlottesville location of Capital for Billy which is now the new Caspian Tattoo studio.  I have been very fortunate with meeting and being trained by some of the best artists in the industry (Jason Adkins, Kil Jun Chung. Etc...).  My art has progressed immensely since I first started in the industry. I love tattooing realism of any kind.
